SUMMARY:Relay for Life Kildare 2016
DESCRIPTION:Last year\,€85\,768 was raised and  this year it is hoped to beat  that and raise even more for the Irish Cancer Society. \nAt the heart of the event\, teams of  friends\, neighbours\, families and colleagues come together in groups and commit to keeping a  participant walking around the Relay course for 24 hours. \nHundreds of other activities take place throughout the 24 hours to create a wonderfully festive atmosphere. As well as raising  vital funds to support the Irish Cancer Society’s work\, Relay is held to increase cancer awareness\, celebrate the lives of survivors\, remember those who lost their lives to cancer\, and unite a community in the fight against cancer. \nThe event takes place from Saturday the 13th August to Sunday the 14th of August2016i n The Currage Racecource\,Co Kildare.
