Carbury Pioneers, Holy Trinity Centre, was founded in 1960 and celebrated their Golden Jubilee in March 2010. The special anniversary was marked with a Tree Planting Ceremony beside Fr Byrne’s Well in Derrinturn as well as the publication of their Jubilee Magazine which documents beautifully, the history of the Carbury Pioneers, and includes images and articles spanning 50 years. National President Robert Shannon attended on the night and presented Gold and Silver Pins and Fr Cullen Medals. Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh, himself a lifelong Pioneer, spoke about his life and told a few jokes much to everyone’s enjoyment.
