Carbury Parish Hunt – a great success: We would like to extend a word of thanks to Ned Mulligan and the North Kildare Farmers who brought their hunt to the Derrinturn area last Sunday. We would also like to sincerely thank the local farmers who gave their land, it is very much appreciated. We would like to thank Pat and Patricia Gill in the Turn Inn and their staff for the use of their premises and the refreshments and food they provided. A special word of thanks to the many people who donated money, prizes, vouchers, hampers, hay, silage, drinks and fuel for the auction and raffle. We would like to thank PJ Cronly, Cronly Fuels, Allenwood; Graham Dempsey, Master Farrier, Allenwood; BNM Drehid Facility, Carbury GAA, and John and Marcella Rushe for their vouchers and gifts. The ladies put everything together and many turned out to help on the day, selling tickets etc. Lots of people turned out to support the event and a big thank you to everyone. We made over €3,400, which will be used to pay the interest on our loan account.
Finally thank God, who gave us a fine day and continues to aid us in our fundraising efforts. For the times we live in we are doing really well as a parish. May God continue to bless us, and all our helpers and supporters. Thank you all once again.
