Do you remember Punchestown? Well, if you enjoyed Punchestown, you’ll love what we have planned for the KandLe Family Fun Day, taking place in the grounds of Carlow College, St Patricks on Saturday, June 16 from 2-6.
If you didn’t get to Punchestown, don’t miss out on this afternoon of family fun, hosted by our diocese as part of its preparation for the World Meeting of Families in August.
Bring a picnic and from 2 o’clock onwards enjoy the music of the Garda Band, Music Generation’s own youth trad orchestra – Reelig, Carlow Youth Orchestra, Presentation School Band and many other musicians and dancers.
Official opening by Bishop Denis will take place around 3 pm, after the Garda band.
Carlow Sports Partnership are providing a range of activities include drumming, picture orienteering, tug of war, bowls, balance bikes, as well as getting back to some traditional field games like egg & spoon races! Carlow GAA will also be on hand for some football and hurling fun.
The Army will be there with a display of vehicles, army rations and an emergency relief demo.
Carlow Youth Services will have a youth tent with music and art activities, as well as providing some cricket entertainment, while Davy’s Pet World will bring some of their pets for little ones to enjoy!
This is just a sample of what’s on offer on this Saturday afternoon of fun. So why not let your family circle know Carlow is the place for ye to be on June 16th. And don’t forget your picnic – we’ll have a sharing table again to take from and add to!
All Welcome! #kandleFamilyFunDay
